TV has brought about some of the most not-so ordinary to households for decades now. Ranging from the goth fest of The Addams Family to the comic antics of The Simpsons and Family Guy, the drama on Brothers and Sisters to the nuclear dysfunctionality of Modern Family, and ridiculousness wit of Arrested Development. ABC has unveiled their sci-fi comedy/drama show this fall and it started airing on September 28. But you can also watch No Ordinary Family online. It was well-received by both the audiences and critics alike. It follows the story of the Powell family who were once an ordinary average family into becoming a huge promise to be extraordinary. Jim Powell is the patriarch who works as a police sketch artist. He is married to Stephanie, a scientist who works at the Global Tech. They have two typical teenagers: Daphne, who has some issues regarding her insecurities, and JJ, who has learning disabilities. After 16 years of marriage, Jim and Stephanie have been lacking some spark in their relationship as the family has not spent so much time together as they have both been busy with their careers. When Stephanie was assigned to do a research in Brazil, JJ insisted that the whole family would tag along. But things did not go smoothly as they were caught in a storm and their plane crashed in the Amazon River. Their pilot died in the accident but the Powells were left slightly unscathed.
When they went back to Los Angeles, things were not the same as it used to be. They all now have superpowers which you can see when you watch No Ordinary Family online. Jim has now superhuman strength, can leap through tall buildings, fire-retardant, and nearly invulnerable. His wife, Stephanie has super speed, incredibly fast metabolism, and can heal quickly. Daphne has telepathic abilities and can see the memories of the person by touching them. JJ is now a super genius: has the ability to speed-read, can digest large amounts of information but can only remember it for six hours, can learn different languages fluently in just a short amount of time, plus he has “genius vison,” wherein he can “see” and project trajectories.
But when they got their superpowers, things were still rough inside the Powell house as each had different feelings about their new powers. Jim is excited, Stephanie is curious, Daphne is not that all-too-happy, while JJ is pretty ecstatic. You have to watch No Ordinary Family online to see how they will handle their newfound powers and how it will affect their lives and their relationships with each other.
