The upcoming movie is a sequel to the 1982 sci-fi flick Tron, which has been lauded for extensive use of ahead-of-its-time imagery and special effects. The yellows are considered hackers and are the “Fights for Independence” programs. The white Light Cycle is driven by Sam Flynn, who was transported to the virtual world in search of his father, Kevin, who has been missing for than a decade in the real world. The third banner shows the two Light Cycles trying to bump each other as sparks are coming out.

Next year, be prepared to watch Season of the Witch online, an upcoming supernatural thriller from Paramount Pictures and Relativity Media. The film should not be mistaken as a remake of the third installment of the Halloween series Season of the Witch which was released in 1982. The movie stars Academy Award winner Nicholas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas) and Hellboy franchise star Ron Perlman. Cage will play Behmen, a heroic Crusader set on the 14^th century, while Perlman will take on the role of Felson, a comrade of Behmen. Other cast members include Claire Foy as Anna, Stephen Campbell Moore Debelzaq, Robert Sheehan as Kay, Ulrich Thomsen as Edhardt, Stephen Graham as Hagamar, and Christopher Lee as Cardinal D’Ambroise.

After having been gone for years following decades of fighting, Behmen and his fellow soldier, Felson, return to their homeland when you watch Season of the Witch online. But when they arrived, it was left devastated by the wrath of the Black Plague. The beleaguered elders were convinced that this destruction was done by a girl who was accused of being a witch. His other film credits include Kalifornia (1993) with Brad Pitt and David Duchovny, Swordfish (2001) with Hugh Jackman, John Travolta, and Halle Berry) and Whiteout (2009) with Kate Beckinsale. Tron: Legacy: Pushing the Envelope in Filmmaking

The sci-fi fanatics cannot wait to see the visual stylings when they watch Tron Legacy online. The original Tron was lauded for being ahead of its time when it was released in 1982. Despite having been just a moderate success at the box office and was said to be disqualified at the Oscar Awards, as director Steven Lisbergers aid they were excluded at the Awards Academy because they said they “cheated” for using computer in its graphics, it was lauded years after for its special effects as years went by. In fact, in 1997, Ken Perlin, who worked on Tron fifteen years ago, received an Academy Award for Technical Achievement for the Perlin noise.

Director Joseph Kosinski commented, “The first Tron set the bar so high in terms of technology that we knew we really had to try hard with this film, and I think with the character of CLU, we are definitely pushing the envelope of what’s possible.”

Jeff Bridges is set to reprise his role as Kevin Flynn, the former CEO of ENCOM International who has been missing for ages. Kosinski said, “There is nothing more difficult than trying to achieve a photo-realistic human being. Those glimpses, I think, are really exciting and show a great potential for the future of film technology. This is such an interesting place to be.”
