The sci-fi flick Tron revolutionized filmmaking when it was released back in 1982 with its extensive use of ahead-of-its-time visual effects. It starred Jeff Bridges, and when you watch Tron Legacy online, he is set to reprise his role as Kevin Flynn, a talented computer game developer. MTV recently caught up with the now-61-year old star to talk about his upcoming action adventure film.

The Oscar-winning actor was asked about what big idea one will get when you watch Tron Legacy online. He replied, “I think the title of the film, ‘Legacy,’ what will our legacy be? What kind of legacy will we leave to our kids and what kind of wisdom will we leave them to go along with that legacy? I think some that we’ll see up on the screen.”

He was then asked if he were to choose what his was favorite, the one he made more than two decades ago or the upcoming sequel? He was a bit hesitant, but I am sure that fanboys would surely rush on to watch Tron Legacy online. He said, “Unlike kids, it’s usually the last one I have in my mind. The other one was 28 years ago. That must be a record, I would think. I don’t know if it is or not, but it seems like it to me.”

Bridges then revealed why will you see him once again when you watch Tron Legacy online.  He wants to be part of the latest technologies in filmmaking, which was the reason why he signed up for the original film in the first place. He said, “It was very exciting to be part of that. That was one of the reasons that got me involved in Tron in the first place, was to be part of that cutting-edge technology. This one takes it to the nth degree.”

Olivia Wilde Talks About Fighting Scenes in Tron Legacy

And in an interview with the 26-year old actress, she talked the outcome of the movie and I am sure that you will also be stoked like she was when you watch Tron Legacy online. She exclaimed, “I was slammed back up against my chair, just overwhelmed by how awesome this movie turned out to be.”

The Irish-American actress model then shared about their long and hard preparation with Garrett Hedlund for the spectacular fighting scenes that are included when you watch Tron Legacy online. The scene includes her and Hedlund fighting against some bad guys in the End of the Line club. The sequences were made by 87elven, who also provided some stunts in 300, Iron Man 2, and the matrix trilogy. She revealed, “It’s choreography we worked on for four months. They showed us the choreography, and Garrett and I looked at each other and we’re like, ‘that’s not going to happen! We’re not going to be able to do that. That’s crazy stuff.’ And four months later, there we were doing it and enjoying it –really loving it. When I saw the finished product of that scene, it’s so intense and beautiful and heart-pounding. I was so proud.”

Wilde has never admitted doing anything that you can see when watch Tron Legacy online. She said, “It kind of proved to me I could really go outside my comfort zone. This movie was the biggest physical transformation I’ve ever made. Also, a departure from my personality, more than any other character.”

Tron Legacy Light Cycles Banners

Walt Disney Pictures is bring back to the big screen one of its movies who has such a huge cult following. This holiday season, you can now watch Tron Legacy online. The upcoming movie is a sequel to the 1982 sci-fi flick Tron, which has been lauded for extensive use of ahead-of-its-time imagery and special effects. The Light Cycle was first seen on the movie and has remained to one of the most iconic vehicles in cinema history.

The poster features two different colored Light Cycles. The first one is colored white with while the other is lined with yellow. The colors depend on the program’s belief or function’s, and on rare occasion’s their emotions. The white ones are neutral programs that serve other programs. The yellows are considered hackers and are the “Fights for Independence” programs. The white Light Cycle is driven by Sam Flynn, who was transported to the virtual world in search of his father, Kevin, who has been missing for than a decade in the real world. The third banner shows the two Light Cycles trying to bump each other as sparks are coming out.

Tron: Legacy: Pushing the Envelope in Filmmaking

The sci-fi fanatics cannot wait to see the visual stylings when they watch Tron Legacy online. The original Tron was lauded for being ahead of its time when it was released in 1982. Director Joseph Kosinski commented, “The first Tron set the bar so high in terms of technology that we knew we really had to try hard with this film, and I think with the character of CLU, we are definitely pushing the envelope of what’s possible.”

Jeff Bridges is set to reprise his role as Kevin Flynn, the former CEO of ENCOM International who has been missing for ages. Kosinski said, “There is nothing more difficult than trying to achieve a photo-realistic human being. Those glimpses, I think, are really exciting and show a great potential for the future of film technology. This is such an interesting place to be.”

Derezzed Video: Tron: Legacy OST

There is no doubt that a lot of people are going to watch Tron: Legacy online. For one, it is a sequel of the 1982 cult classic Tron, a film made beyond its time. The landscapes are now more visually-stunning and the special effects grander given a reported estimated production cost of $200 million. Plus, the Daft Punk has been chosen by Walt Disney Pictures and director Joseph Kosinski and was given total creative control to score the highly-anticipated neon light-fest film. The Grammy-winning French music duo was responsible for dance club hits like Around the World, One More Time, and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.

Now, Disney has released the first and official full video of Derezzed, a track which you can hear while you watch Tron: Legacy online. Derezzed is a term coined when the player of a game in the virtual universe loses, or, in short, digital death. The video pays homage to the first film with its retro look and old school CGI effects. The fanboys would surely love to see the Light Cycles racing through The Grid. There were no clips featured from any of the scenes from the upcoming sci-fi flick but the first showed a re-imagining of the Flynn’s Arcade scene. Except for Sam Flynn, the Daft Punk was seen being transported to the digital world. And on the last part of the clip, just when DP fans would finally get to see the identities of the duo, when the rider takes off the helmet a digitized Olivia Wilde was revealed. House star Wilde plays the warrior Quorra in the movie.

The brand new banner shows Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde with the ultra-modern landscape. Hedlund plays Sam Flynn, the 27-year old son of Kevin, while Wilde plays Quorra, a warrior program and a confidante of Kevin. Together, they must find a way to make it out of the virtual world.

But it achieved cult classic status when people began the idea of the virtual reality is injected in the cultural phenomenon.
