They are literary works that have been passed on for generations. And now, a brand new great novel will once again be adapted to the big screen. And this winter, a lot of people across all ages are waiting to watch Gulliver’s Travels movie. The book has never been out of print since it was first published way back in 1726.

A brand new trailer has been released by Warner Bros to promote the upcoming live-action adventure-comedy film. It stars Jack Black as Lemuel Gulliver, an average American goofball who was then shot President the Awesome when he was mysteriously transported to Lilliput, a hidden island populated by tiny yet industrious people. The trailer looks full of fun with Jack Black being like… Jack Black, so this means the will not be a period piece. It also shows Black having a Guitar Hero moment.

The film also stars Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt as the Princess of Lilliput, Billy Connolly as the king, Catherine Tate as the queen, and James Corden as the prince. Other cast members included when you watch Gulliver’s Travels online are Jason Segel as Horatio, T.J. Miller as Dan, and Amanda Peet as Darcy. This marks the first live-action directorial job of Rob Letterman whose other works include the animated features Monsters vs. Aliens and Shark Tale.

The upcoming live-action adaptation will be injected with comedy as it stars Golden Globe-nominated actor Jack Black.

Jack Black is set to play the accidental-voyager/hero Lemuel Gulliver when you watch Gulliver’s Travel s online. Black is considered to be a member of Frat Pack which also includes Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, and Steve Carell. His other film credits include High Fidelity, Shallow Hal, School of Rock, Nacho Libre, Kung Fu Panda, and Tropic Thunder. He is also the one half the satirical rock band duo Tenacious D.

Set in modern-day Manhattan, Lemuel Gulliver works as mailroom clerk who doesn’t get the respect he is looking for in his workplace. He then posed as a free-spirited travel writer who was then sent to write an article about the mystical Bermuda Triangle. Deciding to travel, he was caught inside a storm on his boat. When he woke up, he was shocked when he was tied up and surrounded by tiny people known as the Lilliputians. They were initially afraid of the “giant” but they realized that he means them no harm and he promised to protect them. He was then, for the first time in his like, deemed as cool. As fast as it came, it was also fast how it went away when he was dueled for fight by a Transformer-like robot. He admitted that he was no President the Awesome. He was then left lonely. But wanting to redeem himself and keep his word with the Lilliputians, he then fought back against their rivals.

The movie also stars Emily Blunt, Jason Segel, Amanda Peet, T.J. Miller, Catherine Tate, and Billy Connolly. It is directed by Rob Letterman. It is set to hit theaters on December 22, but you can also watch Gulliver’s Travels online.
